Welcome to my website Nicki Douglas-Lee Photography, Est. 2011.  I'm an award winning, commended and accredited Wiltshire based photographer and I specialise in ...... well, Photography.  My portfolio is vast, not surprising really considering I had my first camera back in the 80's and studied photography as part of an A-Level course, but this website is dedicated to my work since establishing my photography business. 

With all those years of experience, I have adapted and applied my skills to successfully complete countless commissions:  

• Capturing those special moments at Weddings to provide a collection of memories that will last a lifetime.  I'm a bit of an old romantic so I do try and allocate a little session during their special day that I call Bride, Groom and Photographer time where I work to capture something a little more creative.  
• My attention to detail is key when it comes to Commercial / Corporate commissions which includes food, product, headshot, interior / exterior and conferences etc.  Whether I'm working to my clients' brief or being given free rein to be creative, my work has received 5* reviews by achieving those deadlines and providing professional images to update and enhance any marketing or advertising campaign. 
• Having studied art and design at high school, lighting and set design at University I have utilised this knowledge and experience when working on a number of still life and portrait commissions.  Being creative with light can change the atmosphere of any image and create a 'story' of your subject. 
• I've worked with so many people over the years, including a few that don't like having their photo taken, but being a 'people person' I seem to be able to put them at ease.  The best feedback ever is, 'oh wow, is that really me? I love it!' (I know and understand how daunting it can be as I used to work infront of the camera myself years ago)  You can safely say that my portrait portfolio is rather extensive with studio and outdoor settings for individuals and family commissions. I've even expanded these sessions to include our beloved pets, dogs and horses.  Considering I had a weekend job at a stable yard years ago it would be rude not to include them.
• Having participated and / or have been an avid follower of various sports for most of my life, I'm sure it will come as no surprise that I have worked as an official photographer at various sporting events.  From working with teams and associations in motorsport to Devizes to Westminster International Canoe Race including attending sporting events to capture images for press release.  One thing for sure, there is a definate theme of 'horse power' with some of the events as I attend equine events too!
• There's something magical about events photography, whether it be weddings, sport or social events, when you get home after a long day and upload the images to see that you've captured the atmosphere, the emotion, the magic of of the day I relive that event during the editing process.  And yes, I do laugh out loud sometimes and shed a tear too when I can see the emotion within the image.  I think that's what they call 'wearing your heart on your sleeve'.
• I shouldn't really call it my 'downtime' photography as some of my work has been included in exhibitions in and around Wiltshire and Dorset.  The last exhibition I submitted work for, the proprietor of the gallery organised the event as myself being the sole artist.  Quite an accolade and it was a fabulous success!

I'll just finish off by saying: "I love the diversity of my work, I get the chance to provide a professional service to support other businesses, to be creative on some commissions and capture those priceless moments on others.  It certainly keeps me on my toes and I love it."
