Reigning European Champion Anita Makela

With only two rounds left in the FIA European Drag Racing Championship, reigning champion Anita Makela, is well ahead in the points after winning the 4th round held at Hockenheim last weekend.  It's a quick turn around for all the teams as they head to Tierp for this weekend's 5th round and then it's back to the UK for The Finals held at Santa Pod Raceway 5th - 8th September.  I can only say that having followed Anita for several years and then to actually work with her and her Team over the last couple of years, is just simply amazing and needless to say that I feel highly privileged to have had the opportunity.

If you have never been to a drag race meeting, I can't recommend it enough.  I've followed and been to various Motorsports events over many years but Drag Racing is the one I attend on a regular basis.  With so many classes in the FIA / FIM European Championships, what's not to like.  Just a little tip, if you do attend and it's your first time .... don't forget your ear defenders!
