It goes without saying that I've followed motorsport and ridden motorbikes myself for many years so to have the opportunity to work with race teams and motorsport events as a proffessional photographer makes me immensly proud. To get started though, my aim has always been to show movement so you'll need to set you camera to manual mode. Shutter speed is your priority here, for slower moving objects start with your shutter speed at 1/250 ...... the faster the object the faster the shutter speed, so knowing your sport / subject is a must. Make sure your camera is also set to a single focus point. Don't wait for your subject to move into the frame, pan your camera keeping your subject in the frame and keep your shutter button part pressed so that your camera is constantly adjusting the focus. When setting your aperture (f number) and ISO a good starting point is f9 and set your ISO between 100-400. I hope this helps and happy capturing!!
